Commercial Roofing

As an independent company qualified to install many of the top roofing system brands, we provide an objective recommendation when it comes to your unique project. Whether you need repairs to an existing roof, roofing solutions for new construction or reroofing for an existing building, DependaRoof can help you select and install the perfect roof for your needs, conditions and budget. In selecting the right roofing solution for a commercial building, we consider such factors as the size of the building, structural design, aesthetics, budget and serviceability.

For example, the factors that point to a white single-ply membrane with R-20 roof insulation for Building X may guide us to a gravel surfaced built-up roof with little or no roof insulation for Building Y - and to a standing seam factory finished aluminum roof for Building Z.

Whatever your requirements, DependaRoof can install the right roofing system for each of your buildings. Just as importantly, however, we can examine an existing roofing system and recommend repairs along with a periodic maintenance program that will maximize the service life of roofs in Augusta, Evans, North Augusta, Harlem, Martinez, Appling, Aiken and throughout this area of Georgia and South Carolina.

Single-Ply Roofing

The class of commercial roofing membranes commonly described as "single-ply" are flexible sheets of compounded synthetic materials manufactured in a factory to strict quality control requirements. Single ply roof systems provide strength, flexibility and long-lasting durability. The inherent advantages of pre-fabricated sheets are the consistency of the quality of the products, the versatility in their attachment methods, and therefore, their broader applicability. SPRI, the Single Ply Roofing Industry, identifies three major categories of single ply membranes: thermosets, thermoplastics, and modified bitumens.

Built-Up Roofing

Built-Up Roofing is a continuous roof covering made up of various plies or sheets of saturated or coated felts cemented together with asphalt. The felt sheets are topped with a cap sheet or a flood coat of asphalt or pitch, which may have a surfacing of applied gravel or slag. Fiberglass felts are available as standard (Type IV) and premium (Type VI) in one, two, three, or four plies. Various surfacing types are available, including asphalt and aluminum coatings, pea gravel, marble chips, and modified bitumen cap sheets. Modified Bitumen systems of two or more plies are becoming increasingly popular.

Metal Roofing

Metal is an aesthetically pleasing, low-maintenance roof system with factory paint finishes for sloping structures. Metal roofs can be made from a variety of metals and alloys including galvanized steel — hot-dip zinc galvanized G-90 and G-60 steel (a less expensive thinner grade steel often used in low-cost corrugated metal panels), Galvalume steel — zinc and aluminum coated steel (a more expensive and longer lasting coating compared to G-90 steel), stone-coated steel (G-90 galvanized steel), aluminum, copper, zinc, terne (zinc-tin alloy) and stainless steel

Green Roofing

Green roofs — also known as vegetated roofs or living roofs — are ballasted roofs consisting of a waterproofing membrane, growing medium (soil) and vegetation (plants) overlying a traditional roof. Well-designed, engineered and maintained green roofs provide multiple environmental, social, economic and aesthetic benefits. Green roofs are multi-layered systems consisting of a waterproofing component, optional insulation, drainage mat, a root-blocking component, engineered growth medium, and finally, plants. The specific make-up of each layer varies widely depending upon numerous factors such as architecture and engineering, aesthetics, manufacturer specifications and contractor experience.
